The climate of Ireland is mild, moist and changeable with recent rainfall and a lack of temperature extremes. 

The sunniest months are May and June. During these months the sun on average shines between 5 and 6.5 hours per day over most of the country.  May to July, the days are mostly warm and more importantly, very long. At the peak of summer you won’t need to turn on lights until after 10pm.

Rainfall is extremely common throughout Ireland. The wettest months, almost everywhere are December and January.

April is the driest month generally but in many southern parts, June is the driest.
